Silver’s molded aluminum shell comes in three finishes and wooden shell Silver chairs may be specified in distinctive Makassar, white or black lacquer. Each Silver chair is a unique work of art. Seat cushions are 23/4" thick, 23/8" CFC- and CHCfree molded foam, plus 3/8" Dacron top pad applied over a 1/8"-thick ABS panel. Fabric or leather upholstery is unglued, ensuring optimal air movement. Seat height adjusts from 161⁄2"–2013⁄16" via a pneumatic (gas) cylinder. Casters feature a static discharge function and are hermetically sealed to keep bearings free of dirt and dust. Back cushions are 2" thick, 15/8" CFC- and CHCfree molded foam, plus 3/8" cotton top pad applied over a 1/8"-thick ABS panel. Arm rest cushions are 13/16"- thick, CFC- and CHC-free molded foam, applied over a 1/8"-thick ABS panel. Fold-out crank on the underside of the seat allows the chair’s function to be matched specifically to its user’s body weight. Patented synchronous mechanism on desk chairs combines the backward motion of the backrest with balanced inclination of the seat, providing optimum support for the body in any position. 116° maximum opening angle between seat and back, with infinitely lockable positions. Anti-kick back feature controls forward movement of the back rest when the lock is disengaged. Five-star cast aluminum base is available in three finishes. Integrated headrest on high-back model is upholstered to match back and seat. Contoured shell is die cast aluminum and available in three finishes.
