Worksurfaces are 19⁄16" thick, 3-ply balanced construction. Solid wood rim is 5⁄16" thick with mitered corners. Worksurfaces are available in wood or laminate with wood rims. Features Exterior surfaces are available in the following veneers: • Cherry (plain sliced, slip matched) • Maple (plain sliced, slip matched) • Walnut (plain sliced, book matched) • Rift Oak (quarter sliced, slip matched)—premium veneer; upcharge applies. Veneers are carefully selected and matched to assure proper balance and consistency. Joints are securely fastened with screws, dowels, and concealed fasteners to ensure maximum strength. Component worksurfaces are sized in 6" increments that correspond to Definition pedestals and overhead storage. Appropriate support bracketry is included. Drawer sides and back are 1⁄2" thick with veneer faces. Bottoms are 1⁄4" thick with veneer faces. Interiors are sealed, sanded, and finished with a clear, durable topcoat. Wood drawer dividers are provided for placement in any box drawer. Drawer suspensions feature black, progressive action slides with precision steel ball bearings to ensure long lasting, quiet, and smooth operation. Box and file drawer suspensions are full extension. Black filing rods are standard in all file drawers and accommodate various filing requirements. See page 22 for filing capabilities. Black locks are standard on all desks, credenzas, returns, undersurface pedestals, and storage units. Lock cylinders are removable if rekeying is necessary. Drawer fronts are 3⁄4" thick, 3-ply construction. 5-sided drawer construction allows easy removal of drawer fronts.
