The J style mechanism rocks from a center-pivot point under the seat, and allows for the backrest depth adjustment feature (not found on the K-style mechanism). This chair can be configured as a J, K, or R Mech. The mechanism is the hardware underneather the chair which allows the chair to adjust. Each Mechanism has a unique movement. The J Mech pivots in the center, is best for working at a computer or desk. The K Mech pivot just behind your knee and is great for rocking and is a favorite of executives. The R Mech or Synchronized tilt mech allows the back to move with the seat. Ergonomic adjustability and comfort is the cornerstone of BodyBilt’s Executive seating.
